how many people would have had different reactions if crosshair had been all guilt and self-blame? because god forbid a victim of abuse is angry about their abuse and have some semblance of understanding that they didn’t deserve it. god forbid they’re not all sadness and aren’t begging for forgiveness from people who abandoned them. god forbid they make bad choices based on what they’ve been through instead of turning out a more wholesome person. like wow it’s almost as if abuse isn’t good and doesn’t result in a positive outcome for the victim’s mental state.
and this isn’t to say crosshair isn’t experiencing those feelings, but just because he’s not visibly beating himself up with every second and is rightfully angry about his abandonment and he’s being rude (while making several points) to your faves doesn’t eliminate the shit he’s been through.
For my ally is the Force. And a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. It’s energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings we are, not this crude matter.

No because the fact CROSSHAIR WAS EVEN HESITATING WHETHER HE WANTS TO SURVIVE OR NOT BROKE ME.
That man stood there, in a destroyed sinking city and just… contemplated. Not moving even a centimetre after being told that he can just stay and die there.
And I’m pretty sure if it wasn’t for this scene, if it wasn’t for Omega’s pleading look, he would have stayed there. He didn’t have the survival reflexes.
He just… he needs someone who trusts him and believes him and it hurts so much to see him being let down and used constantly. And the whole of episode 15&16 the Bad Batch is hot and cold towards him, once saying that it’s alright and it’s just the chip, other time blaming him for everything.
